Like many of you, I spent today following the news from Tohoku. Totally mind-numbing stuff. Japan's strongest quake in 1200 years? Did you hear that four passenger trains are still missing? Just swept away, I suppose. How else do you lose a train?
There are lots of organizations in various countries accepting donations specifically to provide relief in Tohoku. Some will argue that Japan is a wealthy nation which can support itself but as is the case with all natural disasters, the agencies who can get aid and supplies in there ASAP would make really good use of our contributions. Unfortunately, from this distance, sending donations is all I can do.
