Hello, 32!

"A sun-Pluto alignment on your birthday is a portent of great things if you are the sort of Pisces who is not afraid to make changes. Look in the mirror. Are you the person you dreamed you would become? If not, don't worry, there is still time to transform your existence. Start now." - G&M

Well, that's good news for this birthday girl. Here I am greeting another year and I'm still struggling to find my place. It seems that everyone else in my age bracket is either well established in a career or is settled in family-mode, or both. I am neither. On the one hand, I don't mind being the odd one out (I know it's rare for a 32-year-old female to have this much personal freedom) but on the other hand, I am ready for more responsibility. I have lots to give: talent and brains and heart. Will I ever find the right recipient?

Tangent: I'm not upset about getting older or anything, but I think this is the first year I've looked perceptibly older than my last birthday. Maybe it's my shapeless hair in need of a style or maybe it's my fuller face? To demonstrate, this is me at 29, 30 and 31. The future is disconcerting...

Hey Andrea! Happy Birthday!

Thanks for sharing that horoscope. I'm on the cusp of big change this year, so it's nice to know that there's "still time to transform my existence."

I hope you have the most fantastic day full of laughter and love and sunshine and smiles. Mostly, I hope that the days ahead are full of happiness and a sense of fulfillment — and that "right recipient" too.

Well, I'm two weeks ahead of you in life and also don't really have much a career yet and now family, so that makes two of us! For me 32 is especially poignant because that's the age my mom was when she quit her career (she was head nurse, with good career prospect) to raise a kid (me).

I am 42 and not really much further ahead in life than I was at 22. But it's all in how you look at it. Most of my married with kids friends would love to be able to lock the door and travel or start a new job - but they think they can't.

So take advantage of your gifts and enjoy another trip around the sun.

Happy Belated!!! I was thinking, actually, I liked the 32 photo the best. You look more poised in it.

Does anyone really have it all worked out in life - if so, I want to meet that person?
