C'est l'Halloween encore!

Who dares tread...?

There's one week left until Halloween and my all-time most popular post, the lyrics to Matt Maxwell's 'C'est l'Halloween', is garnering hundreds of hits. There are people all over the world who just can't forget this classic elementary school French tune!

I've searched the web for an mp3 or an otherwise playable version of this song but none could be found. So as my Halloween treat to you, I have bought a legal copy of Matt Maxwell's greatest hits and I've embedded the song right here. Enjoy, enjoy!

UPDATE: please visit this post to hear the song.

PS I went to considerable effort to procure this song, so if you did take any pleasure in the nostalgia of it, please leave me a comment below.

Fleureiffel,
When you are logged into IMEEM, you can play the song from my profile
(http://www.imeem.com/andreakw/music/jJmXt3tL/matt_maxwell_cest_lhalloween/)

or you should be able to play it in full if you open a new tab to my blog.

Thank you so much for posting that, Andrea - I remember doing this song in grade 8! My favorite line is "Est-ce que tu as Peuuurrr!" I'll be using it to work with kids tomorrow morning.

This just made my day. I keep asking friends if they know this song and no one does. I am actually really excited right now. Take care :)

Why not rip this and put on soulseek so we can all download it and enjoy it? I see no other way of adding this song to my collection.

Peter-
You ask why I don't rip it so everyone can illegally download and steal the work of a children's singer?
I don't think that's the right thing to do.

Hey! Since your post last year, I've been trying to do a mash up of "C'est l'Halloween" by Matt & Matt and "Ghost Town" by The Specials. Similar spooky feel, complimentary chords structure, just different tempos. If I ever get it done I'll send you a link! ;)

Merci! Wish I had found this sooner for my Mother who will retire from teaching French for 20 plus years.
P.S...Anyone can record this song if you a tape player or digital recorder..{hint-hint}

Thanks for the 'hint', Pa'druig, but I'm not up for distributing illegal copies of the property of an artist who probably isn't earning too much.

I'm glad you enjoyed the song. Matt Maxwell's CDs are available at www.posterpals.ca (Same goes for Monte Pelter - if you love it so much, be legal about it! Jeez!)
