Bought a new cell phone today: the LG Chocolate.
I'm not the type who feels the need to spend big money on all the latest tech gadgets, but I do care a lot about having a cool cell phone. I'm still affected by that whole keitai denwa obsession from the time I spent in Japan long ago.
The Chocolate is gorgeous and sleek. I usually prefer flip phones, but I broke the hinges on my last two and have learned my lesson. The Chocolate is a slide-y phone. I will let you know my opinion of it once I've had the chance to put it to use. I'm already having a little frustration in that even with a USB connection the phone won't transfer files with my iMac.
To all those who remarked, "Eeeew, that's such a chick phone!", let me remind you that I am a chick: a chick phone is appropriate. Besides, as a proper chick, I got the phone for the best bargain possible, well below retail cost.
Yesterday was a day of urban exploration as I hiked the Rosedale Ravine with Anisa and Collan. Did you know it's possible to make an excursion of several hours along the trails right in downtown Toronto? I especially enjoyed tramping through the squelchy mud. After the hike, we collapsed, muddy and exhausted, at Bonjour Brioche on Queen East (just west of famous Degrassi Street). Chocolat chaud, flan, baguette, peameal bacon - all of it was delicieux.
