short on words
I'm a little short on words this week, which is not the ideal situation for a blogger.
Thursday = a surprise invitation to a Canadian Music Week event to see two artists I had never heard of. Frida Hyvonen was charming, fascinating and talented. Under Byen was loud, complex, brooding and beautiful. I'm happy to have been given the chance to see the show.
Friday = at the laundromat reading Margret Atwood's The Penelopiad and bits of Tsurezuregusa while my clothes spun around and around. Later, I was invited to watch the film Babel. Interesting movie, I was glad to have seen it at last. The theme of individuals struggling to communicate with others is something that I can empathize with these days.
Saturday = walking, reading, knitting, drinking copious tea and a really good chat with Nicole in Montreal.
