Misnomer? "To be considered, communities have to prove they are attracting new business, creating jobs, investing in infrastructure, and improving or innovating in the delivery of government and public services such as education, law enforcement or citizen participation."

Not sure where the "most intelligent city" part is... sounds more like commerce promotion.

As for Cleveland, Ohio being a nominee -- LOL is my only response.

nothing to do with your entry, but wanted to wish you a happy new year and ask you if you have tried ilife '06 yet?

it is pretty nice, definite must for us mac owners.

iweb is pretty nice and it has a blogging feature too.

Yeah, the way the article defines "intelligent" is not so clear, but I really just posted it because the title was so rad. Well, rad for a Waterloo native like me. I'm assuming no-one reading this from outside Ontario has ever heard of the place, right?

And thanks to Huy (and, also Hikaru) for the tip RE: iweb. I don't actually have iLife but I do have a .Mac account and access to a pirated iweb program. However, I'm running a G3 on 10.3.9. That's probably not going to work...

I've heard of the U of Waterloo - one of their profs is a top researcher on sleep paralysis...
