And now, tonight's top story...

Globe and Mail, November 25th 2005
According to Canada's most grown-up newspaper, the biggest story in the country today is: "Bono Expresses Disappointment in PM". I'm a huge Bono supporter, but I still find it odd that a celebrity's opinion of our Prime Minister should be headline news... I guess Canada is kind of the dork of the G8 nations: we care an awful lot about what the cool kids think of us.

Also, Bono seems to be taking it rather too personally that we didn't meet that 0.7% of GDP target...

Yet in New York at a recent concert Bono was thanking America for all that it has done for third world countries (bombing the shit out of them is apparently a magnanimous act) and urging his audience to "support the troops" (since killing and torturing civilians is such a tough, thankless job and quite taxing on the troglodytes who volunteer for it). I hate our slithering PM as much as the next socialist but Bono's really too much of an ass kisser to be 'disappointed' in anyone. I'm sorry Andrea but Bono can just shove his chameleonic political opinions where the sun don't shine.

Hi, there. Found your blog while looking for images to put on my blog. Thought I'd invite a fellow U2 fan to come and visit. It's at:
