That's a really interesting building! What area is it in? I haven't spent nearly enough time wandering the banks of the canal... so many interesting buildings and pubs you can find along there.

Well, Lesli, I used to live on Penton Rise, just north of King's Cross. On gray Sunday mornings, I used to like to walk the canal up to Camden Lock Market. It took about 40 minutes. That particular building is somewhere along Regent's Canal between Rodney Street and Camden Town.

Check this map for a better idea.

I love walking along canals: sure, it's dirty and you may encounter some unsavoury characters, but it's such an urban adventure. And on Sunday mornings, it was always very quiet and still: no tunnel dwellers paid me any mind.

Okay, I suck. Penton Rise is actually EAST of King's Cross. It just seemed like north to me at the time.

A quick tip regarding canal walking: don't go exploring if there have been any recent rains because you may find some of the walking paths submerged beneath green, scummy water. Then you're trapped. Also, wear sturdy boots and trousers that you don't mind getting dirty. Have fun!
