Two Bad Apples?

Okay, so my iBook went rotten on Thursday. And just now, I turned on my iPod to listen to some tunes at work, only to discover that all the music has been deleted.

I used my pod at the gym yesterday, charged it last night and now... another bad apple! I can't just re-upload my songs, either, since they were all on my iBook.

What the hell is going on?

actually, my titanium powerbook had a bad cd-rom drive and the fan is going bad. and my ipod mini died within the first two weeks of owning it.

they may be great at design, but poor at execution. from my experience, very bad hardware quality control.

i would be hesitant to use their products for mission critical jobs, like web servers or laptops holding master's theses. =D i always back up my important work docs from the pbook onto a keychain USB memory stick.

Yes, I won't be making the mistake of buying a CD-ROM only computer again...
The Macs we had in the early days lasted for ages. The obsolete-at-the-time desktop with the black and white postcard-sized screen that I used in undergrad still runs fine. Seems mass production does not work well for Mac...
